12 July 2004 - Check out
Andrew Brown's
report of the MCC AGM. It was an interesting evening during which I
finally understood how the MCC works
and on balance I am comforted by that. It was nice to see the
major award winners receive their trophies and to put a few more faces
to names. For me the most memorable part of the evening was President
John Haye's tribute to Mary Margett's. It wasn't just what John said it
was the way he said it. A truly moving experience.

There has been some disquiet in the ranks for some time about some
aspects of MCC policy. These have been mentioned to me many times over
the last six months, but I have never been prepared to publish them
un-attributed. Now one of the giants of our sport, Dennis Greenslade,
has written an open letter to the committee which can be found by
clicking here. It's on the
Classical Gas Web Community where you can post your own views.

12 January - Classical C**k Up - I should have said
it was The Chairmans Trophy, originally scheduled for 22nd February,
that has sadly had to be cancelled because the organisers are very
poorly. Camel Vale's Presidents Trial is very
much alive and well in the capable hands of Thomas Bricknell.
|
 |
9 January 2004 - Michael's, rather political,
January 2004 Musings added.
Simon Woodall advises the The Presidents Trial
The Chairman's Trophy Trial will not take
place this year as the organisers are very poorly (please don't phone
them to commiserate).
